About these terms
These terms are between Global Tech Develop ("GTD", "we", "us"), which runs Guestalizer, and the business that creates a Guestalizer account ("you"). By creating an account or using Guestalizer you agree to them. Guestalizer is for businesses, not consumers.
The service
Guestalizer sends your guests a link to confirm their details, verify their ID, save a card for a security deposit hold and sign your rental agreement, and gives your team a dashboard and app to follow every booking. We may improve or change features; we will not remove a core feature you are paying for without telling you first.
Your account and team
- Keep your sign in details secret. You are responsible for what your team does in your account.
- Give each colleague their own login and the lowest role they need.
- Tell us straight away at support@guestalizer.io if you think someone has got into your account.
Plans, trial and payment
- New accounts get a 14 day free trial. Plans are charged per property per month (or per year), as shown on our pricing page, by card through Stripe.
- The number of properties charged follows the properties in your account; adding one is charged for the rest of the period.
- Use beyond a plan’s monthly allowance (automatic ID checks, text messages) is added to the next invoice at the published price.
- Prices are final: GTD is not VAT registered, so no VAT is added.
- You can cancel at any time; the plan stays until the end of the period you have paid for. Payments already made are not refunded unless the law requires it.
- If a payment fails and is not put right, we may pause new bookings and links. Links your guests already have keep working.
Deposits
Deposit holds are placed on your own Stripe account (or on ours while you have not connected one), under Stripe’s terms. You decide whether to capture or release a hold and must have a fair reason, which you give the guest, for any amount you take. GTD does not hold your money and is not a party to any dispute between you and a guest.
Your responsibilities to guests
- Have a lawful basis for each check you switch on, and tell guests in your booking terms what you will ask for.
- Follow the rules of the channels you use. For example, Airbnb limits asking its guests for ID and deposits outside Airbnb; Guestalizer switches those steps off for Airbnb bookings unless you record a legal basis.
- Keep your rental agreement text accurate and lawful.
- Use guest data only to manage stays, and keep the UK guest register where the law requires it.
Data protection
For your guests’ data you are the controller and GTD is your processor. Our data processing terms at guestalizer.io/data-processing form part of these terms. Our privacy policy explains how we handle your own account data.
Fair use
Do not use Guestalizer to break the law, harass anyone, send spam, upload anything harmful, try to get into other accounts, or overload or copy the service. We may suspend an account that does, and will tell you why unless the law stops us.
Availability and liability
- We work to keep Guestalizer available and back it up every night, but we cannot promise it will never be interrupted.
- Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or anything else the law does not allow to be limited.
- Otherwise, GTD is not liable for loss of profit, revenue, bookings or goodwill, or for indirect loss, and our total liability in any 12 months is limited to the fees you paid us in that period.
Ending your account
You can close your account at any time by emailing support@guestalizer.io. Before you go, we can send you a copy of your bookings and guests. We delete your data within 30 days of closing, apart from what the law requires us to keep.
General
We may update these terms; we will tell you by email at least 30 days before an important change takes effect. These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales decide any dispute.
